Question

Hello!
We will be buying 10 PC`s, but with OEM Windwos 10 PRO. But we need Windows 10 IoT on them.
Is it possible to downgrade or upgrade to the IOT version? Will the licences be valid if we use the IoT version?
What would be the easiest way to get Windows 10 IOT on those 10 computers?
Thanks!
Reinis

Hi,
You could upgrade windows 10 pro to windows 10 Enterprise.
/en-us/windows/deployment/upgrade/windows-10-upgrade-paths
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is the same full Windows 10 Enterprise desktop operating system with a special license for the OEMs in an embedded market.
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is based on the normal Windows 10 Enterprise installation.
If you do not have the loT licensing agreement, ask the OEM you work with for the commercial agreement.

Best regards,
Farena

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, which has a long term support. If you just get the regular Windows 10 Enterprise, a feature upgrade will be required every 6 to 12 months.

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is intended for device manufactures and not regular PC usage. You should contact a Microsoft distributor in your area to get clarification: https://query.prod.cms.rt.microsoft.com/cms/api/am/binary/RE31Bfg

Without redirection answers, to be specific: You don't.
If you do not buy computers with Windows IoT pre-installed onto them from an Embedded Partner, you'd have to purchase the Kit yourself. It is several hundred dollars IIRC. Not worth it unless you are going to be selling products in the Embedded Channel.
So the others are semi-correct in saying, well just upgrade to Enterprise edition. But if you really want IoT, then buy the computers from an Embedded Partner.
