Question
Sunday, March 31, 2019 11:30 AM
I am editing a word docx. Suddenly it jumps from the 4th page to 2nd page, because the mouse cursor moves itself. The same thing happens when I typing in notepad++, I cannot input anymore because mouse cursor moves itself.
I checked device manager and control panel about mouse, nothing wrong.
Somebody points problem to Lenovo utility's compatibility. I have checked the system, there is no Lenovo utility installed.
What could I do for investigation? Thanks.

Hello,
Please refer following suggestions:
Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot.
If that doesn't helps, do this:
Press Windows + X, select Device Manager.
Under 'Mice and other pointing devices', right click on your mouse device and select Uninstall. Click OK.
Then click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
Close Device Manager and reboot.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
What's your system version? Type "winver" in Search Bar.

Hi,
Try to update to the latest version is a choice. Then try to reinstall the driver to check.

Thank you.
It's not my computer.
Due to some limitations he cannot update to latest. But I believe he has updated to a relatively new version Windows10 1803 17134.677.
He has called Lenovo as well but not get a valid suggestion.
I suspect he has some pirate applications installed that make this happen but that would be unacceptable for him to uninstall apps one by one.
I'v also asked him to run msconfig and disable some services there to find out culprit, but this looks like too complicated for him to do.
No good idea now.

Hi,
Yes, 17134.677 is the latest version for Windows 10 1803. According to your description, I think it's easy enough to start clean boot. If so I would suggest that we could try to use system restore.
