Question

A few years ago I updated a Windows 7 pc to Windows 10. For performance reasons I decided to replace the HD with an SSD. I backed up the HD drive and restored it to SSD. When I boot from the SSD I get the error 0xC0000428 for file \windows\system32\winload.exe and the message "windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file".
I click enter and get a message "Choose an operating system to start, or press TAB to select a tool" The only choice is Windows 7 which is no longer installed on this pc.
I can't get past this error.
