Hi all, i am sure ths is an easy one for someone.

Can i install the print services role on more than one DC in my domain? (without needing to use NLB)

Or is it one print server per domain?

Thanks

You can have as many print servers as you want to manage.

Personally, I'd not recommend putting the print services role on a DC unless you have a small installation.

Now, if you're talking about a clustered print server environment, that's different.  Are you wanting to install print servers that are redundant?

i ask this becasue there is already a print server in the environment but its on a 32 bit OS. I wanted to add another print server but on a 64 bit OS. I am not sure if its a DC or not so i will need to find this out.

Thanks

Since print servers are separate services that don't talk to each other, you can have any kind of mixture of 32bit and 64bit print servers in your environment.  Also, it does not matter if they are on DCs, but again, I don't recommend putting Print Services onto a DC.
