how do you connect Windows 7 to windows 10 on network? Some computers are accessible while others require a password and user name that doesn't exist

Hi,
Based on your description, it could be caused by the “password protected sharing” function. Please turn off password protected sharing to check referring to the following steps:
1、Open Control Panel.
2、Click Network and Sharing Center.
3、Click the "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left hand panel.
4、Choose your current profile section. ( In Windows 7, choose All Networks.)
5、Then turn off password protected sharing setting and click Save changes.
