App to read cellular SMS messages

I have 2 different model machines both running Win 10 Enterprise 1511.  Both machines have a Sierra Wireless LTE modem installed and 1 model is receiving cellular SMS messages while the other isn't.  When I swap SIMs between the 2 machines the newer machine still won't receive messages, but my cellular provider shows that messages are getting to the SIM.  My question is what other App can be used besides Messaging + Skype to read and view SMS messages sent from my cell phone to the SIM in the laptop?  Both machines are running the same version and build of Windows 10 and Messaging.

Hi ,

Due to the limited working environment, it is not available for me to test this for you. But based on your situation, you could use another model of Windows 10  device to have a test. If it works on another Windows 10 device, then you could point the problem back to Dell instead of OS configurations

Based on your description, are you trying to read and view SMS messages sent from my cell phone to the SIM?

There is no built-in app in Windows 10 can read and view SMS messages. If you trying to look for some third party applications that can do it. I am afraid that we are not familiar with third party application and due to the limited working environment, it is not available for us to test this. Try to Google it on your side, or we could wait the other members in our forum who have done this before to join this thread and share their experience and solution.

Thanks for your reply Rick.  Actually Messaging + Skype which is a built-in app to Windows 10 allows me to view SMS messages sent to the SIM of the laptop.  Everything I have Googled points me back to that application.  The Dell model laptops I have are not allowing me to read the SMS messages using that APP, and I wanted to see if there was another program out there that could do the same thing so I could point the problem back to Dell instead of my OS configurations.
