Is there an easy way to "see page as <user>/<group>" in SharePoint?
I know this feature exists in other CMS type platforms, but I am coming to the realization that perhaps the workflow for SharePoint admins/owners is to have multiple accounts configured to cater for various user types setup by IT and constantly "sign in as different user" to get the experience from that "user types" POV, is this correct?
(Ideally, SP2010, but I'd even be happy if it was a feature in 2012...)
ie: accounts like "gentest general employee", "gentest finance employee", "gentest marketing employee", "gentest HR manager" and so on...?
This link implies this is the case: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/c7c9d8b5-e370-455f-a4fc-2c3da5c6f700/viewing-page-version-that-others-see?forum=sharepointgenerallegacy
but is this seriously the only (and fastest) way to do this?
It means; IT accounts setups, constantly sign in/out, usernames and passwords (even if you only setup once and tell the browser (or all browsers! used to test) to remember the user/password) its still a big job as we have many different types of users!

Yes, you'll have to have separate user accounts with defined level of permissions to view pages as a particular permission level.

Bummer... thanks.
ASIDE: I think you could probably also create one SPTESTUser and chop/change their SharePoint group membership as needed, based on what you are testing, but that would also have its own issues.
