Windows 10 education vs enterprise

Question

Friday, February 24, 2017 3:54 PM

I need a Microsoft document that provides detailed differences between education and enterprise editions.

I have found conflicting information .

what is the feature difference?

what are the provisioned apps differences?

what functionality is added or removed?

Is there one place to go to get this information?

Hello

For the most part Windows 10 Education is the same as Windows 10 Enterprise… it’s just meant for use in a school environment rather than a business.

One feature that’s only available to Windows 10 Enterprise uses is “Long Term Servicing Branch,” which basically means that enterprise customers can postpone Windows updates that provide new features for years, while continuing to receive security updates.

Hi,

We can find a breakdown of features of the Windows 10 editions here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/WindowsForBusiness/Compare

From the official documentation, suffice to say, Enterprise version is the same as Education edition on features, only if we don’t need to use Store Apps, it’s better to choose Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB version.

Windows 10 Education is that version of the operating system that has been designed explicitly for academic purposes. This version of the operating system will be aimed at both students and the educators at various levels. However, according to the available information and the experience of users, it is quite unclear that how the Windows 10 Education will be different from that of Windows 10 Enterprise.
