Question

I usually have about 20 to 25 commands that I use on a regular basis in the Start/Run Box.....For some reason they seem to have semi-disappeared.
when I click on the down arrow, it would normally show all the previous commands. Now it just opens up with a blank white screen showing nothing.
On the other hand, if I type in the first letter of a command it will show all the commands that I have previously entered along with url's......so where are the url's coming from?
anyway I've attached a pic. One shows my registry entry for RunMRU that contains the commands that I use in my run box. As you can see they are all there.
I exported the RunMRU key then deleted all the entries except for the default entry. I then merged the exported reg entry and I get the same results.
What I didn't do is restart the compute which I will do now after deleting the entries and then merging them back in with another reboot.
EDIT/UPDATE
1. delete all the registry entries in RunMRU except for default
2. restart
3. merge RunMRU back into Registry
4. Restart
Result: No difference in the behavior.

My "show most used apps" is grayed out and in the off position.
Have a registry edit or group policy that I enable/disable to get this item ungrayed out?
I did not have the HKCU Explorer key.
SO I created the Explorer Key under Policies\ with a ClearRecentDocsOnExit value of 0
the HKLM Explorer Key did exist with an Explorer Key .
No ClearRecentDocsOnExit value in this key either so I created one with value of 0.
According to additional reading. a value of 1 turn ClearRecentDocsOnExit on and a value of 0 turns it off.
Restarted PC, no difference with or without those keys and values.
Looking forward to your response. TIA
