Question

Hi,
We're trying to automate a step in our day to day operations, and wondering if I might be able to write a powershell script to get this done.
I'm hoping some one might be able to point me in the right direction.
The steps are straight forward.
This is a Call Centre environment. Windows 7 Enterprise x64bit machines.
We have users that change shortcut names to inappropriate names and we need to rename all these shortcuts to what their supposed to be. We can't do GPOs that is a long change request process.
So the steps would be:
- Find shortcuts with specific target path on remote computers.
- Rename remote computers shortcut with target path to XXXX name.
Hope that all makes sense, any advice will be really appreciated.
thanks!

Look in the Gallery for scripts that manage shortcuts.

Hi Shane,
As the forum don't write scripts on users' demand you could check the below prewritten script for example. The script can help you to manage your desktop files and programs shortcuts to give you the control the types of the applications and collect them in a collections:

Hope it helps.
