Registry Key to Allow import of .pst file to mailbox (Outlook 2007)

Question

Tuesday, January 15, 2013 3:36 PM

OS: Window 7 Pro

App: Outlook 2007 (Exchange 2003)

Problem: When trying to import a .pst file to Exchange 2003 mailbox (Outlook 2007) I get the error message:

PST (Personal Storage) usage is diabled on this computer.

I know it's a GPO causing this. My high headquarters says why didn't he import it before.  I can't diable the GPO or block it with getting in to trouble. I can do a regedit. What regdit will assist me?

Please make sure you have local administor permission already. Locate the following regestry key and then just a matter of deleting this item or changing he value to zero

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\

Value Name: DisablePst
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

Restart Outlook to check the result.
