When I open up VS express 2013 for desktop a dialog opens up saying my 30 day trial is expired. This is the express edition why is it a 30 day trial? It should just be the express edition.
There is a link that says "Check for updated license" but when I click it I just get "Failed to download a new license". I've uninstalled 2 times already and I keep getting the same thing.
I think I got this because I did some sort of Visual Studio online signup thing? How can I fix this? I just want to be able to use VS Express 2013 again!
I'm dead in the water here with this.

Hi RickP42,
Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.
On my laptop when I open VS Express 2013 it gave me the same dialog. However when I clicked the Sign In button it allowed me to enter my id/pw and after I entered that information in it worked.
Do you mean that you could sign in the same VS version in other machine with the same account?
If so, maybe you could move it from the registry key under
hkey_current_user\software\Microsoft\VSCommon\12.0\clientservices\tokenstorge\visualstudio\ideuser.
Please also make sure that it is not the network issue. Please also check whether you could log in it from your browser here with your Microsoft account.
Maybe you could re-download it and reinstall it from the web browser here:

Actually I found that the similar issue has been submitted to the connect report, if possible, you could vote it, maybe we could get useful information from the product team experts.
Please also check whether it is the system time issue, see:

So this error is on my deskotp. On my laptop when I open VS Express 2013 it gave me the same dialog. However when I clicked the Sign In button it allowed me to enter my id/pw and after I entered that information in it worked.
So why isn't my desktop allowing me to enter in my id/pw when I clicked the Sign In button?
