I manage updates in my environment through WSUS. I haven't pushed updates since early December. This week however, I've been getting a bunch of Windows 10 machines on my network display a message in the system tray that says "You're not up to date". But if you check for updates it says there are no updates available. We have a mix of both 32 bit and 64 bit versions, both pro and enterprise, and a myriad of different builds. It is not isolated to any one.

Is this a notification or message in Windows Update?
Check Windows Defender (if you are using) and see whether it is also update.

This is what it looks like, it starts as a notification in the system tray, and when you click on it it takes you tot the Windows Update dialog page. We do not use Windows Defender, we use a third party AV product.

Hi cloksin,
Try the following steps and check if it helps:
1. Run command** sfc /scannow** on the affected server.
- Run below commands to verify and clean component store.
** Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth**
** Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth**
** Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /startComponentCleanup**
** Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /restoreHealth**
Reboot the server to make the above steps taking effect.
Use Fix it tool to reset the Windows Update Components.

Note: If the fix it tool does not work properly, refer to this article to reset the update components manually.

ok, I ran all the DISM commands and the sfc. There were no errors anywhere.
The fix it tool you gave me was for workstations, not servers.
The error I am seeing is on workstations, not the server.

So the issue happens in Windows 10, the fix it tool can be used.
