Monday, August 28, 2017 7:07 AM

Having wired issue with Windows 10 Environment, where machines are running with Win 10 1607 version and all of sudden user's machine time is changing to future dates mostly from year 2030/May. this is happening on random basis (3-4 times in a month). earlier i thought it could be CMOS battery how its not user took second machine to home and it had same issue. this this happening only for 1 user in Japan location.

Any help or direction from here would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Please check if the problematic machine uses NTP server. If it uses NTP, check which server it uses.
It would cause from incorrect NTP server time.

There is a similar case, let’s try method here to see the result.

Clock keeps resetting itself to future time & date self

Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

Go to Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Set the time and date\Internet Time tab\Change settings, enter this proper server address, on my computer is time.windows.com, you could choose this one, then click Update now.

Have a try.

Regards

Hi Teemo,

unfortunately date & time is controlled by GPO users will not have access to modify it and it connects to NTP server for time Sync.
