Hi

When we are working in Word,Excel document,so many temporary files are storing in back end.Do you have any idea how to remove the temporary files of word & excel. It should not affect the original saved source file of word & excel.

I am  using %temp%  this command to remove the temporary files but sometimes 1 am not able to remove the folder and it is showing Try again,Skip or cancel.Even though,we re-started the PC,we are not able to delete  the folders.

Your support is highly appreciated.

Pradeep

Hi,

If you receive a Error Deleting File or Folder message while the files are being deleted, it means that one of the files is in use by a program right now. Click OK, close all open programs, and repeat the steps above. You can check in the Task Manager and make sure all programs are closed.

If you want to automate this action, you can try to use a startup script to automatically clear the folder.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.
