Hi

Seems the Search Service Application Proxy does not exist in the farm. If yes, it does not have the proxy then create a new proxy using PowerShell cmdlets:

$searchServiceApp = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication
New-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplicationProxy -SearchApplication $searchServiceApp

Hi ghsajith,

To troubleshoot the issue, check things below:

1. You could run the PowerShell command below to check if there is search service application in the SharePoint farm. If it returns no result, then there is no search service application in the SharePoint farm.

Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication

Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplicationProxy

2. You could run the PowerShell command to check which timer job has not completed. If you find the timer job, you could stop and re-run the timer job.

Get-SPTimerJob -Identity 635fb211-0e01-48f9-8b0f-1e63c91b1f08

3. If you can get the search service application by the command “Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication”, you could run the PowerShell below to create the proxy for search service application.

$searchServiceApp = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication

New-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplicationProxy -SearchApplication $searchServiceApp

The output of the following commands shows no result.

Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication

Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplicationProxy

Get-SPTimerJob  -Identity 635fb211-0e01-48f9-8b0f-1e63c91b1f08

When I try to run the following commands, it throws the below error

$searchServiceApp = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication
New-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplicationProxy -SearchApplication $searchServiceApp

Hi ghsajith,

To troubleshoot the issue, check things below:

1. Check if all search services are started. Go to Central Administration->manage services on server->check “Search Host Controller Service”, “Search Query and Site Settings Service” and “SharePoint Server Search” are started.

And go to computer->start->administrative tools->services->” SharePoint Search Host Controller” and “SharePoint Server Search 15” are started.

2. Create the search service application by farm account.

3. Check the details about the error in the ULS log.

ULS log path:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\Logs

Hi ghsajith,

To troubleshoot the issue, you could run SharePoint 2013 products configuration wizard.

Then you could consider re-installing SharePoint 2013.
