Documents printing in random order when selected in file explorer.

Hi.

I have an issue where when I select multiple documents to print in file explorer, they come out in a random order. 

For example if I want to print out a sequence of documents which are numbered 1,2,3,4,5 they come out in an order like 1,3,5,4,2

I have tested this on a Canon printer and HP which are networked as well as testing pdf (Edge,Adobe Reader & Chrome) documents and word documents which yield the same result.

Solutions tried are 

Renaming the files in order.

Selecting the first document and then shift clicking the last document in the sequence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
