Question
Saturday, February 9, 2019 4:42 PM
We have a RADIUS server.All Win7 a clients connect without a hitch.
However, the Windows 10 machines always prompt "Windows cannot verify the server's identity". The same certificate is used on Win7 .It is fine.
After Windows prompts it cannot verify the server identity, it's possible to click "connect" anyway. This, however, doesn't show up on the Win 7 machines which have an identical configuration interface. I don't believe it's normal behaviour having to click "connect" the first time, right?
My questions:
- Is it normal behaviour having to click "connect" ? I mean, the behaviour is different from the Win 7 machines, which do not prompt.
Thanks in advance for your reply

Hi,
There is no difference with Win 7, and it is just less security.
I would suggest you uncheck the Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate option to prevent prompts.
What's more, please check the root CA on the Win10.
BTW, what is the version of the windows 10 machines? 1803?
It seems that the issue does not occur anymore after the upgrade from 1803 to 1809.
Best regards,
Travis

Hi,
we used local connect, do you mean 802.1X authentication?
you can also disable "Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate" option .
Best regards,
Travis
