Question

Hi All,
I have a small business and we use Surface Pro's for all our staff. We have an Office 365 subscription and set up each device using the new employee's business Office 365 log on and I believe this joins the device to the Azure Active Directory. I don't know much about this.
So we have had an employee leave and their Office 365 account has been deleted. Now I am attempting to reset the Surface Pro 4 for a new employee however I encounter "Enter the Recovery Key to get going again" which from googling (and found on this site) appears to be requesting a bit locker key. The page states:
"To retrieve this key, go to https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/n/#/devices from another PC..."
However when I go there and log in with my Microsoft Office 365 business account (That has Admin privileges) I am given the message: "This functionality is not enabled or not available."
After much searching I have found that I can view keys through Azure Portal, clicking Azure Active Directory, Find User, clicking on a user, then clicking on devices. Problem is; the original user of this device has had their account deleted already...
Thanks for your time. I hope someone can help.

Simply format it - bitlocker does not stop you from doing so.

It does seem to in the typical ways. Just finished downloading the Surface Pro image and will attempt to apply that.

Hi ,
We haven’t heard from you in a couple of days. Is there anything to update?
Best regards

In my case was simple.
I also had a personal Microsoft Account where I logged in previously adding the computer to a domain and then I went to https://onedrive.live.com/RecoveryKey for recover the Bitlocker recovery key.
