Visual Basic 2015 Download

When downloading Visual Basic Community 2015, the acquiring part of the download is complete but the applying part is stuck at about 1/10 of the full. It's been 2 hours and it has not moved. What should I do?

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

According to your description, It seems that you are install the visual studio 2015 community from the web installer.

I suggest you could install it from the iso image, you can download it from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/B/C/0BC321A4-013F-479C-84E6-4A2F90B11269/vs2015.com_enu.iso

With the help of the iso image, we could make sure that the package is not corrupted.

Please use FCIV.exe http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290 to verify hash of the ISO. Any discrepancy would indicate that the file was corrupted. Here is a blog for how to use it, you can refer to it.

The SHA-1 value of visual studio 2015 community is "BAAD3CEBAB7A5834D8F78F7D02E4880C010F3BA9".

If your SHA-1 value is incorrect, it means that your package is corrupted, please re-download and reinstall it.

If you still could not install visual studio on your machine, please check the following:

(1) Make sure that your windows has updated to the latest.

(2) Disable your anti-virus and anti-spyware software.

(3) Clear your %TEMP% folder.

If none of the above helps, I need more detail information to troubleshoot this issue,
