How to trust macro's created by a specific vendor in Word 2013

Question

Attempting to right-click on a Word document and create a PDF file with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. Realize there are many other ways to create a PDF file, but this is used when creating large documents from multiple files.

After attempting for a moment to create the PDF file, error message is returned "The Security level is set to High. Please run the application which created this document, in the "Security Warning" dialog select the check box "Always trust macros from this source" and enable macro's created by Adobe."

I don't see this as an option in Trust Center. Is there some other place to trust third party macros specifically?

Hi

To add a publisher the Trusted Publishers list in the Trust Center, do the following:

  1. Open the file from the new publisher.
  2. Click File > Enable Content in the Security Warning area.
  3. Click Advanced Options > Trust all documents from this publisher.

Thank you for the reply. I'm trying to convert a Word document into Adobe PDF. Adobe is not listed as a publisher when the Word document is open. I don't see any way to add an unlisted publisher.

Hi

We can add a trusted publisher only when the following scenerio are true:

  • The code project is signed by the developer with a digital signature.
  • The digital signature is valid.
  • This digital signature is current (not expired).
  • The certificate associated with the digital signature was issued by a reputable certificate authority (CA).
  • The developer who signed the code project is a trusted publisher.

Apart from this method, we can add the document path as a trusted location, refer to the link below:
