I need to allow unauthenticated access to a file share. This can be done my disableing password protected sharing, however it does not work when the file server is connected to a domain.
The other solution involves editing group policy to enable the guest account: http://nikolar.com/2015/03/10/creating-network-share-with-anonymous-access/
Quesion: from a security point of veiw is it an issue to enable the guest account like this apart from granting access to a single file share? Secondly will the changes be reverted by the domain group policy?
Thanks,
Joe
