Hi Samadhan,
To reproduce this issue, could you provide your operations step by step?
And also you could provide some screenshots about your issue.
Thanks,
Wendy

Hi Wendy,
Below are the steps:
1. Created new content type with content type group as Folder Content Type and parent content type to Folder.
2. In Document library settings changed Allow Management of Content Type to YES.
3. Then I added this new Content type to my Document library.
3. After this I am able to create new folders with my content type and able to give description.
Also I am able to change the content type of files but I am not able to change the Content type of folders which are already created. There is no Content Type option in properties of folder.
I am not able to add screnshots, it is saying me acc need to verify.
Thanks,
Samadhan

Hi
using UI, you can do it only for folders created based on new custom folder content types, not for folders created using default folder button present in library's ribbon
I am not sure if it possible to do it using powershell for default folder as well

Hi Samadhan,
You are not able to change the content type of the folders created using the default Folder content type. Is it right?
In my test, after I added the custom Folder content type into the library, if I edit the property of the existing folders, there is Content Type drop-down list to change the content type:
Please upload your screenshot into OneDrive and copy and paste the URL of the image into here.
If I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to reply.
Thanks,
Wendy
