Good question. On a running PC you can see them from Control Panel>Credential Manager. Not sure where they are stored or in what format.

Hello,

What is the error you received while it crashed? Can you boot to Windows 10? If not, let me know the error message/code, I'll help.

Regards.

Hi,

Unfortunately, you cannot export saved passwords from Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer using safe methods. Microsoft chooses to store all the passwords you saved using Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer, in the Web Credentials section from Windows' Credential Manager.

If you want to view the password saved in Edge, follow the step below:

1.From Control Panel, click on User Accounts.

2.Next, click on Credential Manager and then select Web Credential tab.

3.Under Web Credential section, you should see all your saved password and username are listed under web password section.

4.You can identify which password belongs to which account by looking at the URL of the website to which the credential belongs. Click on the small down arrow icon, which you can see beside your website URL to expand the section

And you may refer to the following link to Backup and Restore Windows Vault Passwords:

Hope these can help you.
