Hi
I cannot change the Column Settings for a content type column ? All of them are grayed out . What could be the reason ?
Content Type is not set to read only .

Yes, it is because it is a calculated column.
You can change the property of a calculated column to be hidden via SharePoint Designer. To do so, open the site, navigate to the content type you want to change, choose 'Edit Content Type Columns' and select the Property required. Finally don't forget to push the changes to sites and lists and finally click on save.

Hi,
What are the different possibilities that you are having in the dropdown ?
And what kind of item do you have where you want to change that?
On what page do you have this behavior ?list settings ? or on a form ?
For example: you cannot change a list item into a folder..but normally SharePoint doesn't show the options that are impossible..

When I go to Content Type in the list and tries to change the column settings then the Columns Settings are not available ?
Is it cuased because of the column is Calculated type ?
