Windows 10 IOT Enterprise - Prevent Domain join

I am developing a device that runs on Windows 10 IOT Enterprise 2016 LTSB. I want to prevent the end users from adding the device to their domains. Is there a way to do this? We have many issues with the domain controller forcing down policies that changed the windows update policies / driver updates that cause issues with our instrument and cause the OS to restart while the instrument is active. Any help is appreciated.

Hello D-B-,

Windows IoT Enterprise includes AAD Join and Transitional Domain Join. You can use Group Policy Management in the AD server to assign rights to group to prevent the Domain Join.

There are some group policy settings that apply only to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.

I think you can sort this issue under domain security policy.

Hello,

I don't have access to the customers AD server. I want to configure something on the Windows IOT PC that prevents if from being added to any of the customers domains. Basically I would like to configure the PC to not even present the option of being added to a domain to the user or administrator level user.

The problem is that the policies are on the server side. The best thing todo is to lock down the device so the user doesn't have access to joining the system to the domain.

If the system is more open, stopping the domain services creating a security template that blocks any user from running network setup wizard and domain services might be something to look into.
