Everytime I access outlook, word or any other office app , there is a large grey bar across the screen in all installed Office 365 software and this is killing time to look for email ID's in outlook, unable to type further in word, unable to access cells on a excel workbook. Please help!

Thanks

Hi,

Could you send us a screenshot of the problem occurred on Office app?

What’s your operating system? Have you ever installed another version of Office on the same computer and it works fine? You can update Windows 10 to the latest.

We suggest you open Office in safe mode to check if the problem persists. Please refer to the article: Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC.

If in safe mode have the same problem, you can try repair Office. Refer to Repair an Office application

If the above don’t help, try disable hardware acceleration in an Office application, such as Word. Click “File” -> “Options” -> “Advanced”, then find the “display” section, Check “Disable hardware graphics acceleration” -> “OK”.

If you need further assistance, feel free to post back.

Bella Wu
