Blocked Senders List in Outlook 2010

Question

Tuesday, July 5, 2016 6:36 AM

I need to recover the blocked senders list from a Outlook 2010.

The PC (Win 8) itself is no longer running but I have a backup of all files.

How do I access the blocked senders list on the backup? Which file contains the blocked senders list

and where is it located?

Hello,

If you want to retreive your Blocked Senders list then you can follow the steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to Home >> Junk >> Junk E-mail Options.
  2. In the window that opens go to Safe Senders >> Import from file >> OK.
  3. In the Import Blocked Senders window that appears, find and select your file.
  4. Click Open and in Junk E-mail dialog box click OK.

You can refer to the link below for better assistance.

Hope this resolves your problem.

Thanks Mark but unfortunately that wasn't my question. I know how to import the list.

I have an image from a PC where Outlook 2010 was installed. Where can I find the

list of blocked senders?

Hi,

What's your account configured in Outlook? Internet or Exchange account? And how do you back up your Outlook data files?

If you are using Exchange account, the Blocked Senders List you added before in Outlook 2010 would be synced to your mailbox in server side. Therefore, you can just reconfigure your Exchange account in Outlook 2010, it can be sync data back from server to Outlook client.

If you backed up your Outlook data file by exporting to a PST file before, please notice that the Junk E-mail Safe Senders, Safe Recipient and Blocked Senders lists would not be contained in your pst-file. Please check if you have backed up your registry before, restore all Outlook settings by restoring the back up registry values to have a try.

Hi Winnie,

Outlook was configured to work locally via POP/SMTP (not Exchange).

The backup of the PC is in the form of an image, in other words, I would have access to all files of the original Outlook installation.

Where exactly do I find the Block Senders list?

Regards,

Mario
