I have DHCP running on a server 2008 R2 SP1. I havea the scope created fine and it is releasing IPs. However, I am trying to create reservations and having trouble. I give the reservation a name say "PeckmanCxP" and its reserved IP address. I put nothing in for MAC or description and for supported types a choose DHCP. When I click on ADD I get the message "The unique client identifier is not valid" what am I doing wrong????

Hi dvua,
Thanks for posting here.

System will not accept a reservation record without MAC address entry, so you may have to full this entry or will not able to properly add this record .
