Hi
How can I change the Hyper-V Cluster IP Address and what will be the consequences? I've a Hyper-V cluster with an IP in the DHCP range which I want to change to static. Appreciate if somebody can assist me.

If you select the cluster name at the top of the left pane, in the middle pane, expand the Cluster Core Resources listing. Expand the Cluster Name and the IP Address will be listed. Right-click on the IP address and select Properties. On the General tab, you should be able to change the IP address to a Static entry.Chuck Timon Senior, Support Escalation Engineer (SEE) Microsoft Corporation

Just change it in the UI. If the IP you want is in the DHCP Scope range, you will have to exclude it. As long as the Network Mask does not change and the IP is not already used somewhere on the network, the cluster will not see it as a new Network and you should be fine. I would move all my resources off the node you are doing this on until the process is completed.Chuck Timon Senior, Support Escalation Engineer (SEE) Microsoft Corporation

Hi Timon
Thanks for the reply.
I couldn't find an option in the Cluster Administrator to change the Cluster IP. Where exactly in the UI I can do this?

I'm also trying to change the IP address as for some reason is defaulting back to our main academic network instead of the cluster network. Problem is in the IP Address Properties box under the Network Section it just has No Network thus I cannot enter the IP address I want. I keeps default to using Cluster Network 2 in the error log when I need it to use CLuster Network 5 + 6.
Any idea, I'm a bit stumped.

I fixed my own problem, if I clicked on the cluster networks I wanted the cluster traffic through and enabled "Allow clients to connect through this network" I then had the option on the cluster name to add those networks in and assign an IP address to bring the cluster back online. Very odd why this stopped working in the first place!!
