How do I install yum package manager on 64bit Suse?

I'm looking to install yum or another reliable package manager

to download RPM's and dependencies.

Hi,

Yes, we have to install zypper from rpm. It might ask you for dependencies, you will have to install them as well.

You can use the OpenSUSE‘s zypper package manager.

I also discovered I can use command-line yast:

yast -i rsync
yast -i yum

follow-up question:  do I need to install zypper from rpm ??
