Intune portal doesn't show install status for apps correctly

Question

Wednesday, November 7, 2018 5:31 AM

From what I understand, I'm supposed to see details on the installed managed apps, as seen in step 8 here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/troubleshoot-app-install

I don't see it. The install statuses seem to be incorrect/outdated (i.e. apps that have successfully installed show up as waiting for install status and even successfully installed apps just say "Application created" in the details pane. See screenshot.

How can I get this to work right?

If you select an app with an outdated status, can you click the Sync button? After a while and clicking the Refresh button, does it update?

When was the last time the Desktop did a Sync from the device?

Sync'ing has no effect and when I do sync, the device check in time updates as expected.

We are also seeing this. All apps were showing Installed yesterday, now only one Store app is.

The apps with "Waiting for Install Status" are a mix of LOB and one Win32App (Intunewin) apps.

From the Client Apps blade you can see the waiting Apps are showing as Installed in the lists and Pie chart, but not when viewing via the Managed Apps - Preview view in the Device blade, as JeffN has noted.

I would say its a bug as this is only in Preview. You should log a support ticket in the Intune portal if you can.

Did you get any updates on this. I'm having the same issues across my Intune tenants,

No...there aren’t really any useful support channels for Intune.
