Yes, you can install and use VS 2008 on Windows 10.

However, I'd consider using an up to date VS version that can target current .NET versions, such as the free VS 2015 Community Edition.

we have the following error opening project with Visual Studio 2008 SP1 on Windows 10 :

"the project consists entirely of configurations that require support for platforms which are not installed on this machine. the project cannot be loaded."

SDK installed :

1. STANDARD_SDK.msi
2. SDKBeta-WinCE600.msi
