Flight mode event log

Question

If the user turns on Flight Mode, is this event logged somewhere in Windows?

If so, where can I find it and how do I recognise it?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Okay, I believe the Surface / tablets might use different hardware components so therefore I'm not sure how they log or if they even log events to the event log.

Yes that's correct, Event Viewer -> System log.

Hi!

I believe it should be logged in the System log, for the Event ID I'm not sure if it's always the same but with my two tests (see below) it was logged on Event IDs 7011 & 7012.

I did a test on a Lenovo & HP laptop and here's my results:

Lenovo

Wireless card: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265

  • Event Source: Netwtw06
  • Turn On Flight Mode: Event ID 7011
  • Turn Off Flight Mode: Event ID 7012

HP

Wireless card: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265

  • Event Source: Netwtw04
  • Turn On Flight Mode: Event ID 7012
  • Turn Off Flight Mode: Event ID 7011

Hope you find this useul!

Best regards,
Leon

Thanks for this.

I've run a test also but nothing in the log.  I'm using Windows 10 pro on a Surface Pro.

I'm looking in the Event Viewer > System log.  Is that correct?
