Question

Dear Support,
The office we are using is MS installed version of Office 2016 Standard edition. The current build is 16.0.4405.1000. It does not support Office Add-In-Commands and MS info stated that the office build should be 16.0.6769.0000 or higher (16.0.6868.0000 recommended).
I would like to know the following questions:
1. What is Office Standard 2016 latest version and build number currently?
2. Please tell how can we upgrade our Office 2016 to latest build?
3. If not support, please tell the estimate timeframe / roadmap and when will support Office Add-In-Commands?
thank you,
Chris

Hi,
You are correct that Add-in commands are currently supported on the following platforms:
- Office for Windows Desktop 2016 (build 16.0.6769.0000 or later)
- Office Online with personal accounts
- Office Online with work/school accounts (Preview)
Office 16.0.6769.0000 is an Office 365 clients version. See:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt592918.aspx
You are using Office Standard 2016, which is a one-time purchase****. It has a different update mode from Office 365. See the following article for more information:
Re Q1: Please refer to this article for the latest version of Office Standard 2016.
Re Q2: Refer to the article above and install the latest updates.
Re Q3: I cannot guarantee whether Office Add-In Commands will be available to your Office version. I'd recommend you submit a feedback via UserVoice. Microsoft values all customer feedback.

Sorry to 'revive' this old thread but this problem still persists, at least for me. The "feedback via UserVoice" just leads to a 404-error.
Have there been any developments? Or is there another solution to get a Store-Add-In to load with a selfcreated button on the ribbon? I'd prefer not to use the way "Insert -> Add-Ins -> Shared folders -> choose ADD-IN -> OK".
