OneDrive event logs?

Question

Monday, November 26, 2018 4:11 PM

Is there a way to read the event log for OneDrive?

There are a couple of users who can't log on to OneDrive. I wanted to check the logs to try to see what's happening.

Hi,

Please change Group Policy to add the following registry value at user login:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive]
"EnableADAL"=dword:00000002

Here is an article talked the similar issue about it:
Error Code: 0x8004deb4 when signing in to OneDrive for Business

Hi,

Generally, the OneDrive Activities Log files are located in the following path on the computer:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\logs

About your log on issue in OneDrive, I suggest you can check the following settings for further troubleshooting:

  1. What's the account used for OneDrive sync, OneDrive for Business account, personal OneDrive account or SharePoint Online account?
  2. What's the detailed OneDrive client used for sync? Open OneDrive settings, under About tab, collect the detailed version build number.
  3. Confirm if these users can directly log on OneDrive in webpage.
  4. Any error description when log on to OneDrive app on Windows.

Please provide more details for the OneDrive log on issue.

Best Regards,
Winnie Liang

Thanks. I found the logs but can't seem to read them. Is there a certain app I should use?

It's OneDrive for Business.

Version 2018 (Build 18.192.0920.0015).

The users can log on OneDrive in webpage.

There's an error code 0x8004deb4
