Question

We have an ongoing problem with the "conflicting changes" warning in OneNote Online with one of our clients. It seems to appear randomly but quite often and we haven't been able to pinpoint the core reason. Their outbound connection is a fiber 100/100 line.
Any ideas on how we move forward?

Hi,
This conflict normally occurs when OneNote cannot perform an automatic sync. Because, for instance, there is no internet connection. Can this be the case?
So, maybe the connection is unstable or people are editing the file at exactly the same time.
You can open the conflicting page and copy the correct version to the original page. After that delete the conflicting page.

I'm also moving this thread to the Office 365 IT Pro forum, because it is not development related.

I get this a lot, too. I use OneNote on my Win10 Desktops and my Android phone and tablet.
When I go to onenote.com and pull up the "Conflicting Changes" notebook, it is empty.
Copying and pasting an entire section is not an acceptable solution every time this happens.

Same error, for me, and agree, solution is not acceptable, this happens frequently. I have a windows 10 laptop, a windows 10 desktop, and an android phone. I left evernote because of their android app problems. looks like onenote was not the solution I was looking for.... BTW full error reads : "There are conflicting changes on this page. Try opening it with OneNote Online to see the conflicts." - of course I did this, and onenote online shows the an un-updated version of the page... Hope Microsoft can sort this out.

I get this sometimes. I want to know how to find the conflicting changes. There is a button called "Show Versions" but if you press it nothing obvious or visible happens (except the button changes to "Hide Versions").
This is the typical cryptic behaviour I expect from Microsoft. Does anyone know how to actually locate the specific conflicting changes so you can resolve them?
I was expecting to see some parts of the page highlighted or marked in some way to indicate the conflict(s).
thanks
