Question

Hi,
I'm using Outlook 2013. There are two folders FolderA and FolderB. There are a lot of child folders, grandchild folders, great-grandchild folders, and a lot of E-mails in each hierarchy folders in FolderA and FolderB. But the each hierarchy folder structures and names are completed the same for FolderA and FolderB. I'd like to merge FolderA and FolderB to have only one folder instead. It will be a huge task if I have to manually move E-mails for each hierarchy folders. Is there any easy way?
Thanks,
高麻雀

Hi,
Based on my testing, we can achieve this via exporting and importing. In case it gets messed up, it's highly recommended to back up your Outlook data files before we doing the following steps. After backing up your data files, please try the following method:
Assume that you want to merge Folder B to Folder A. To export the Folder B data to a .pst file:
1. Open your Outlook and select Folder B.
2. Click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
3. Select 'Export to a file' and click Next.
4. Select 'Outlook Data File (.pst)' and click Next.
5. Folder B should be selected in the folders list. If not, select Folder B, tick the checkbox labelled "Include subfolders" and click Next.
6. Define a new .pst file here and save it to your desktop:
7. Click Finish.
Now, import the exported .pst file into Folder A:
1. In Outlook, Click Folder A.
2. Click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
3. Select 'Import from another program or file' and click Next.
4. Select 'Outlook Data File (.pst)' and click Next.
5. Click Browse button and select the .pst file you just exported on your desktop. Click Next.
6. Expand Outlook Data File and click to select Folder B. Make sure 'Include subfolders' option is selected. Select 'Import items into the current folder' which is Folder A and you have selected it in step 1.
7. Click Finish.
This should do want you want to achieve.
Hope it helps.
