Question

Hello all,
I’m trying to install Revit (2019) but every time I try to install I get an error telling me this;
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64) Error
Looking at this error, I tried to manually install this Microsoft Redistributable, but this also does not allow me to install. In fact according to the Microsoft download centre this file does not exist anymore.
Any help is appreciated.

You can still obtain the redistributable installers from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26368

Hi mattwelll,
Welcome to the MSDN forum.
Please tell us your OS version and the error code about your issue so that we can investigate it better.
And here are some suggestions when installing the package for your reference:
-
- Please turn off your anti-virus/antispyware software during installation.
-
- Before installing, clear your %temp% folder.
Try to run sfc /scannow on cmd as administrator.
- Go to Programs and Features from the Windows Control Panel (or Add or Remove Programs for Windows XP) to uninstalled Visual C++ 2008 package and you could reinstall the redistributable installers (the link given above).
If it still doesn't work, I need your help to collect the installation log. Please download and run this collect.exe tool, go to %temp% folder and find the vslogs.zip file, upload it to https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link in here.
Best regards,
Eden

From my earlier post, try this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa/details.aspx?id=26368
It was alive a few seconds ago.

It should contain the complete redistributables, including the security update.
