hi,

My requirement is to change the whole site into dutch language in SP on-premises.

i have found the solution , tht need to install language pack and run the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard.

but in the 9 steps i got an error in wizard

and also ensured that sharepoint timer service is running state.

Kindly do the needful.

Hi Kamelesh,

Make sure you have enough Permissions and Try opening the log file you got and click Ctrl+F and enter ERR and check Match case on left down and send us the logs ?

Hi Kamlesh,

Got to Registry Editor and add the New Dword: to go over there open run from windows and type regedit and hit enter.

Add a new Dword (32-Bit) key named “AcknowledgedRunningOnAppServer” with value “1” to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Server\15 or 14\LauncherSettings

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Server\15 or 14\LoadBalancerSettings

and re-run the configuration wizard.

In addition to registry keys, also check backend connectivity. troubleshooting:

Right-click on the desktop, choose NotePad, and then save the ext file with extension UDL. Double-click the file. This will open a SQL Server connectivity dialog that enables you to enter your connection information and test connectivity.
Check whether SPTimer service is running

You have a new error after applying the fix Sharath provide, correct? Is there any configuration log provided in the error message? Please provide a screenshot of the new error message and the content in the log file.

Also please check the service accounts having proper permissions to Sql server database.

Yes that's true but PowerShell always don't give the exact missing feature. to check the exact missing features check in CA -> Upgrade and Migration -> Check Product and patch installation status here it shows what are the feature that are required in this farm, according to that you can install those missing patches.

Kamalesh - if the connection attempt failed, that indicates exactly what the message indicates:

You used the wrong servername
the account you used doesn't have the necessary permission
there may also be a local firewall issue

Check the account in SQL Server. Does it have at least these SQL Server roles:

dbcreator
securityadmin

Is it a db_owner of the farm configuration and farm content databases? Is it a member of the local Administrators group on each SharePoint farm server?

What is the account you used to original install the SharePoint farm? Is it the same one you used to install the patches?

In my colleague system, everything worked perfect without having SSMS. No error had occurred while running the Product Wizard. But still Language Setting option is missing.! dont know y. since i am new to this. kindly guide me.

make sure the sharepoint setup account you use to run product configuration has local administration permission;

if there is upgrade error, you can take a look at the upgrade error log;

and you can run upgrade-spcontentdatabase first and then run product configuration again.

Kamalesh - the account that you used to perform the install has to have a variety of special permissions or it won't fully do its job. It's not enough to add that account to the SharePoint server's local Administrators group. It also must be able to interact with the SQL Server backend to the farm you are trying to deploy - it has to be able to create databases and provision permissions - that's why it needs the "dbcreator" and "securityadmin" roles on the back end. Try using the below steps:

1)Restart your SharePoint Timer service before you run config wizard.
2)Make sure you run with farm accounts which has "Security Admin & DbCreator" permissions (or) DbOwner for all Databases.

3)Reboot the Servers
4)Open PowerShell ISE "Run as Administrator" then add the snippin first by running the below command.

PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures -cmd secureresources -cmd services -install
