Hi,
It's very annoying when you leave tasks running overnight and come in the morning and it's gone! Have to restart everything and lose hours of work.
It happened again last night. I looked at the reason in the Event Viewer:
The process C:\WINDOWS\servicing\TrustedInstaller.exe (DESKTOP-HFE2BSP) has initiated the restart of computer DESKTOP-HFE2BSP on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Operating System: Upgrade (Planned)
Reason Code: 0x80020003
Shutdown Type: restart
Comment:
I had disabled the automatic restarts in the group policy before (see: https://www.kapilarya.com/prevent-forced-reboot-after-installing-windows-updates).
What else is needed?

The best way is updating system to the latest, then configure Power option, prevent computer from sleeping, meanwhile, turn off hard disk after 0 min.
If you still worry about, after let computer run tasks, disable Windows Update service.
Good luck.
Regards
