Hi Bill,

The VS 2015 Product key is per-user, for your new computer and please go to VS-Help-Register Product and use this product key to activate it, and you can still keep it on your old computer, but make sure both of them for you use. If you do not need it on your old computer, you can just uninstall the VS 2015 to remove the product key together.

Hi Bill,

Welcome to the MSDN forum.

How did you activate VS 2015 before? Usually, we can unlock the IDE by using an online subscription or entering a product key, please check this doc.

The VS 2015 license is per-user, you can used the old way to unlock the VS 2015 on your new PC, like the Microsoft account that linked with your subscription or the previous product key, if you missed this product key and you can consult with the sales where you got it to fetch it again.

Best regards,

Sara

Sara;

No I have not found my VS 2015 license. I purchased three VS 2015 licenses on the Microsoft website and I cannot find the license information. I also do not know how to transfer the license to my new computer.

I found the page I printed when I purchased the three licenses. I have the Product Key.

How do I remove the Product Key from VS 2105 on my old computer so I can apply it to my new computer. Thank you for the support.

The product key would not work on my new computer. I didn't try uninstalling on my old computer.

Apparently I did not use all three licenses that we purchased, because one of the other product keys worked on my new computer.
