Hi, I'm not having luck finding a way to set Outlook 2016's Instant Search to search All Outlook Items by default. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi libskinny,
Based on my knowledge, I am afraid it is not supported to set All Outlook Items as the default search scope. Currently, we can only set All mailboxes as the scope via File > Options > Search:
An workaround I can thinks of is that we may use keyboard shortcuts "CTRL+ALT+O" to temperately set the Search scope to All Outlook Items.
Besides, as per your requirement, I'd like to encourage you visit the Outlook UserVoice forum to vote for a similar idea or post your owns. Microsoft appreciate your continued interest in Microsoft products and is committed to continuously improving your experience with our products.
Hope the above information can be helpful.
Best regards,
Yuki Sun

Is this still the case? I have an end-user who would like to be able to have Instant Search look through "All Outlook Items" by default. Has Microsoft fixed this "bug?"
