I am using windows 10. When I click on the file explorer icon the screen flashes black and then goes back to desktop

When I click on the file explorer icon the screen flashes black and then goes back to desktop. I have shut down and restart. I can't get it to open one drive either

You may go for a System Restore. Select any earlier restore point when there was no such problem.

You may also perform SFC or create a new user account to check the issue.

On File Explorer interface, click View tab->Options to open Folder Options dialog, move to General tab, Open File Explorer to: This PC.

After this, reboot computer in the clean boot mode to check again.
