Question

I am just experimenting with storage spaces. I had a storage space with 3 drives. I deleted the storage space, and removed the drives. All 3 drives now have the status "Ready to Remove", but when I try to actually free them from Storage Spaces I get "Can't remove drive from the pool", "Drive could not be removed because not all data could be reallocated. Add additional drive to the pool and reattempt the operation". I am already using every bay in my system, and I don't want to preserve the tiny amount of junk left on the drives. Is there a way to force storage spaces to let go of the drives, or to unremove one of the drives so I can really wipe it clean?

I tried that and it did not help in my situation. Because I already deleted the virtual disk, it can't process the request.
