Question

Hello to All!
I have 10 new PCs in my network with win10. From the moment I installed them, they sucked my UPLOAD bandwidth and it killed my Internet. Through my firewall I saw that all the connections are to this address tlu.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com to Port 80. I disabled the windows update sharing feature but still no luck. When I am blocking this address (tlu.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com) with a firewall policy there are other problems arising. Does anyone know a way to stop those uploads without the need of firewall policies? And if there is no update sharing what the heck are those uploads?
Thank you
Nassos

Hi Nassos,
I suspect this should be related with Windows Store updates.
Please take a try to remove the filewall policy, then disable Windows Store Updates to take a check.
Regards

What the other issues you have when that is blocked by the firewall? Might be a clue to what it is.
But ping tlu.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com resolved to a-0018.a-msedge.net for me, so Edge is Edge is use? If so what it is used for?

We have the same issue downloading 40-60GB per day everyday for 3 computers. The above setting to turn off Update apps automatically did not help. I also don't get if you have a WSUS server why is it still going to Microsoft?

I have the same problem here.
I have just 1 PC in Windows 10. And the update of office 2016 broke Internet connexion. It don't just use all the bandwidth, it broke the connection every 5 minutes for 10 seconds.
On the same network we have 20 servers. 50 PC from Windows 2003 to 2012 R2 and windows 7 to windows 8.1. It works great. Just 1 PC on windows 10 and the internet connection broke...

Hello Michael,
I tried your suggestion and it seems that the problem is fixed for me! It is now 2 days without the firewall policy and all goes well.

Dear Michael,
This issue is still happening in one PC with windows 10. I have a firewall policy to block tlu.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com only for this client. When I disable the policy it makes dozens connections to this address and its flooding the upload. I have uninstall completely Microsoft store but with no luck. Any ideas?

Might be related to this setting too:

That was the first thing I did, no luck...I said it in my post " I disabled the windows update sharing feature but still no luck"

I missed that.
It might not work but you could try something like TCPView (www.sysinternals.com) to try and find out which App or process is sending(or receiving) data and kill that process/uninstall the app.
