Junk Folder shows 3 unread messages but the folder is empty

Ever since my live.com email account was converted to an outlook.com account, my junk mail folder shows 3 unread messages but the folder is empty. Any ideas?

Hi,

First, please make sure if you get the unread message currently as the following way:

1.In the Navigation Pane, check to see whether there is any subfolders in the Junk folder.
2.Click the Unread Mail folder. (If this folder is not exists, please right click the Search Folder and a new search folder.)
 
 Your unread items are displayed in the message list.

If no unread mails in your folder. Please launch Outlook with cleanviews switch mode to fix it. (outlook.exe /cleanviews)

Thanks for responding but my issue is not in outlook but rather in the web based outlook.com. I didn't have this issue when my email account was a live.com account.
