can't find product key to install visual studio 6.0

Hi friends,

I lost my visual studio 6.0 installation CD however, I had copied its content in my computer before all this happened.

when I run the setup located in its root directory then after few steps it prompt me to enter product key in two boxes... one of them will take a string of around three digits and second will take a string of around 6-7 digits.

I have searched for product key inside the directory but haven't found yet. it's been 3-4 hours and I am stuck on this.

please let me know in which directory and where exactly I can find the product key?

Just give anything it will take. i mean simply hold "1" to fill everything. or give your name etc or anythin watever u like. Its will take anything. I have encountered same very long back. Yeah.!!! I got it worked

but unfortunately, one or two files are missing that prevents the installation process. is there any way to recover these files?

when I proceed, I notified that the installation files are missing in this directory..

F:\soft\VB-6.0\OS\SYSTEM
