Question

We have a restricted distribution list that we have setup so 2 users can send to the list. I've added the user by going to EMC | Recipient Configuration | DL List name | Mail flow Settings| Message delivery restrictions. This was done a week ago. When the user attempted to send to the list this morning she received an NDR. I ran a delivery report and sure enough the message failed to send with the status code 550 5.7.1.
Your message can't be delivered because delivery to this address is restricted.
550 5.7.1 RESOLVER.RST.NotAuthorized; not authorized
My question is, is there something else I have to do to allow her to send to the dl list?

I'd like to add that I've checked the DL list in Active directory and confirmed the user is in the 'AuthOrg' container via asdiedit.

Hi,
Did the option "Require that all senders are authenticated" be checked on mail flow setting tab?
Could you please try to uncheck it.
Could you please post the internet header of the error message?

Hi Jerome,
I have tried with the solutiion you provided to uncheck the "Require that all senders are authenticated" option in DL properties.
Still have a query whether there is a way to get all users authenticated when they are trying to send mail to DL and the mail is sent without unchecking this option as right now im sending mails in internal org. but still faced this issue even when the sender is within AD and is authorised to ssend mails logically.

There could be only 2 scenarios for such an issue :
1. The "Require that all senders are authenticated" could be checked and user from outside organization will face the problem.
2. The User is using outlook in cache mode and has not updated GAL. Please try using outlook while removing the account from cache mode, use OWA to send mail or clear the user cache.
Please check for the same and confirm.
