Edit-> Purge-> ...
If you choose Purge Options... you can select the option "Purge items when switching folders while online".

View-> Current View holds various views to show, hide or group messages marked for deletion. You probably want the "Hide Messages Marked for Deletion" view.

Hello,

if you use an IMAP account and hit the "delete" button the mail is just marked for deletion (shown as crossed out). This is normal behaviour.

Greetings,

Toni

You can use Edit-> Purge Delete Items to delete them permanently.
There is also the option for auto-purging when you switch folders.

Additionally, you can change your view via the View-> Current View menu to hide deleted items.
